| I've had this hooded hair dryer for about 3 years. The only thing that has gone bad - probably due to abuse - is the bonnet. The string has broken and the bonnet itself tore. I purchased the Conair to replace it, but the hose came apart and I ended up giving it away. I like the Hot Tools so much that I ended up replacing the broken string and "super gluing" the bonnet to patch up the hole and I have resisted getting a new blow dryer. If I could find a bonnet replacement, I would buy it - but I can't so I'll break down and get another unit. I haven't had any problems with it not fully inflating (even with my "super glued" holes). I also find that it is very hot and I sometimes have to put it on medium. The hose is pretty long and easily stores inside the unit, along with the bonnet. It's very portable and convenient. I usually put it on at night while I lay on the couch and watch TV, or when I am working on the computer. Before I know it, my hair is dry! |

| I purchased the hood hair dryer about a month ago because I was tired of my hard-top blow dryer. Sitting straight under a ceramic blow dryer for an extended amount of time (hours) is boring and rigid. Hard tops just aren't as flexible as the bonnets and for this reason I have rated the product with four stars. It was an extremely good buy for under $35 with S+H. There are two major flaws in the engineering of this blow dryer but the price should indicate that something will be sacrificed. Con 1: It is LOUD! I don't mean adjust the volume to low and it won't bother you; I mean wear earbuds and turn them to max volume. |

| Con 2: The bonnet dryer does not provide full coverage evenly so it must be rotated so that every portion of your hair dries evenly. This can be cumbersome if you have large rollers (for roller wraps) in your hair. You'll need a friend to help you rotate the bonnet so that the rollers don't come out. Pro 1:This soft bonnet blow dryer gets HOT! This is my favorite feature because I want to get away from the heat ASAP. Do note that you should probably protect your face and earlobes though. Pro 2: The head bonnet dryer is well designed. After comparing it to my two other blow dryers (one soft and the other hard top) it is the sleekest. It organizes back just as you take it out--very simple! Pro 3: The price is unbeatable. It is an efficient machine, if not noisy, that does its job.

| Bought this blow dryer a couple weeks ago. So far it works surprisingly well. I have a very short hair cut so the bag is a bit loose on my head as I don't use curlers or other styling aids that may take up volume. However, the heat settings are very effective. In fact the highest setting tends to be too high and therefore I maintain the blow dryer on the medium setting. This professional blow dryer was exactly what I wanted, I had another hair dryer similar, but I had it for years and it just gave out. I had gone to the beauty supply stores, at least 2 and was not pleased with their selections or their prices. I wanted one that had more than 3 levels - on-off-heat, I wanted on-off-low-high, this works better for me since I have long hair and have to stay under the blow dryer for long period of time. I like the bonnet, because I don't have to stay in one place in order for my hair to get dried. Otherwise, the blow dryer works very well and I have had no problems so far.
